The root cause of production challenges today is the chip shortage. Other challenges are suppliers changing owners, suppliers changing license models, changing pricing or even cancelling a product, political decisions that prevent deliveries and many more.

SEGGER’s all-in-one embedded operating system emPower OS includes all core components  and communication software, as well as IoT Toolkit, Security and Compression modules serving all the software needs of modern embedded industrial and IoT devices.

emPower OS provides an out-of- the-box experience on close to one thousand hardware platforms while supporting many more. This means being able to quickly switch the hardware without rewriting the software. This gives the manufacturer the flexibility to continue production even in the event of supply shortages.
